Joseph C. Allen, Jr., M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon practicing surgery of the spine.

Dr. Allen received a bachelor's degree from Rice University and attended Texas Southern University. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Following medical school, Dr. Allen completed a year of general surgical internship, and finished his orthopedic residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Allen then completed his spine fellowship at the North Carolina Spine Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dr. Allen is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is also a member of the following societies:

• American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons
• Harris County Medical Society
• Texas Medical Association

Dr. Allen maintains privileges at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Christus St. John Medical Center, Bay Area Surgicare Center and Texas Orthopedic Hospital.

In addition to his Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia licenses, Dr. Allen is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
