A native of New York, Dr. Brinker received his
Bachelors of Arts degree in sociology, Cum Laude, from Tulane University in New
Orleans, and his Medical Doctorate from Tulane University. He completed his
general internship at hospitals in the New Orleans area before serving as an
orthopedic research fellow. He completed his residency at Tulane University
School of Medicine in 1993. In addition, Dr. Brinker was awarded the prestigious
North American Traveling Fellowship in 1994, becoming only the second recipient
from Texas and the first from Houston.
In 1999, Dr. Brinker was inducted into the American Orthopedic
Association.
