Michael C. Maier, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon practicing general orthopedics.

Originally from Orange, CA, Dr. Maier grew up in northwest Houston. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Maier received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, where he graduated with honors as Valedictorian of his class. He was President of the AOA National Honor Society. Following medical school, Dr. Maier completed his general surgery internship and his orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical School in Durham, North Carolina.

Through patient education, conservative management, and advanced surgical techniques, Dr. Maier enjoys providing individualized and comprehensive orthopedic care for his patients.

Specific interests include computer navigated joint replacements, arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, as well as general trauma and orthopedic conditions of the extremities.

Dr. Maier has authored several publications and given presentations in his career. He is a member of the following societies:

Dr. Maier holds staff privileges at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Sugar Land Surgical Hospital, Oak Bend Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

In addition to his Texas medical license, Dr. Maier is board-eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
