Howard R. Epps, M.D., specializes in pediatric orthopedic surgery. His areas of interest are trauma, neuromuscular disorders, spinal deformity, and disorders of the hip and foot.

Dr. Epps is a native of Washington, D.C., where he graduated Cum Laude from Sidwell Friends School. He did his undergraduate work at Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, finishing Cum Laude with a degree in biology. His Medical Doctorate was awarded by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.

After an internship in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, he completed the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Epps then served for six months as Chief of West Orthopedic Trauma Service at Massachusetts General. He finished his training as a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Epps has received research fellowships from the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and The National Institutes of Health.
