Robin N. Goytia, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery including the use
of minimally-invasive joint replacement techniques. Dr. Goytia also specializes in revision of prior failed hip and knee surgery, and
use of the latest techniques in partial knee replacement, hip resurfacing, and hip arthroscopy
Dr. Goytia was born in New York and subsequently moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he lived for 15 years. Dr. Goytia
graduated with his Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in
College Station, Texas. Dr. Goytia received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. Following
medical school, Dr. Goytia completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston
(Memorial Hermann Hospital). During his residency, Dr. Goytia was named Chief Orthopedic Surgery Resident. Dr. Goytia was awarded
a fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he specialized in hip and knee replacement, treatment of
avascular necrosis, hip arthroscopy and direct anterior total hip replacement.
