The elbow is a uniquely important joint, cycling one million times per year, allowing us to position our hands for work, wash our faces, and tie our shoes. Unfortunately, injury will cause pain, limited motion, and weakness. The elbow joint is particularly prone to stiffness and contracture with late or delayed treatment, making this joint one of the most challenging to return to best function.
The Fondren Orthopedic Group has surgeons who specialize in elbows and focus on the treatment of all elbow injuries and conditions. These surgeons are ABOS Board-certified and have added Fellowship training in elbow surgery, as well as over 20 years of practice experience. They have lectured on the elbow at national meetings and have published papers in the peer review literature. They are experts in treating elbow injuries and conditions using both operative and non-operative strategies.
If surgery is needed, our surgeons are knowledgeable in all elbow surgery techniques, including minimally invasive surgery with arthroscopy, as well as latest state-of-the-art techniques, such as hybrid Tommy John surgery or OATS grafting for OCD of the capitellum.
If you would like your symptoms diagnosed or evaluated, or would like to explore our treatment options for a debilitating elbow condition, contact one of our physicians at a location near you.
