Dr. Goytia specializes in knee replacement at the Fondren Orthopedic Group. A knee replacement procedure involves placing implants at the end of the femur bone and the tibia bone at the knee to establish an aligned joint with good mobility. This procedure takes around an hour to complete. Patients are able to stand and walk afterwards, and should begin physical therapy right away.
