Common Causes and Symptoms of Spine-Related Pain
Spine pain can develop gradually or occur suddenly due to injury, degeneration or inflammation. Common causes include disc degeneration, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, arthritis, nerve compression and trauma. Pain may also result from overuse, poor posture or repetitive motion.
Symptoms vary depending on the affected area and underlying condition. Patients may experience localized neck or back pain, radiating pain into the arms or legs, numbness, tingling, weakness, stiffness or reduced mobility. Chronic spine pain can interfere with sleep, work and daily activities, making a timely evaluation necessary.
